this application crashes on OSX 10.11.1
doesn’t open .mov files so I converted a long .mov movie to .mp4 to open it with this software…. which refused to open the .mp4 file!. A waste of time.
Theres no way to edit your videos, its very laggy so you cant watch your masterpiece, and you cant change the colour of the text. Dont waste your space on this application, just use iMovie instead.
All I wanted to do was to take out (crop out) a few seconds of the beginning of an MP4 file. I tried and tried the terse ‘help’ file and finally I decided this phenomenon belongs to trash. Ugh!
Awful editor
Interface is so awful. I didn’t see such bad interface and poor functionality for a long time before I saw this. Not recomended.
Weird Text Added to Video
Has anyone else noticed some weird text showing up in their videos?
This app right off the bat looked great !! easy buttons, easy layout….BUT, then after 30 min of editing I realize the free version is USELESS. The app saves files as is it’s own arbritrary file that cannot be shared on social media and if you render the file, it has a hude red watermark IN THE MIDDLE….I HATE THIS APP….BIG WASTE OF MY TIME……..NOTHING FREE ABOUT IT……...WASTE OF TIME IS WHAT IT IS

I decided to give this a try after having to give up my Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 because of OS upgrade to see if I can find a decent replacement. While this is quite easy to use, it’s quite basic and doesn’t really have great effects. When you export your video it add a watermark to the video, which really makes you seem unprofessional. If a watermark doesn’t bother you and you want to use something basic and easy, then this is for you. Definitely not for me!
Doesn’t tell you at all anywhere what is included with the free trial or for how long…so after editing for several hours I go to export and when the video is finished is has this annoything red watermark that covers the entire screen. What a complete ripoff! I will never consider this lousy product for lack of transparency and just no honesty. If you’re going to put a huge red watermark all over the video in the trial version SAY SO up front, so people don’t waste their time..….what a joke….

I tried the lite version to see if it was worth paying for the full version, well this is what i think, first it does not support 1080p it only exports 720p videos, second, it does not support share directly to YouTube, like imovie and Adobe does, and Third Watermark your videos, this is a no no, i will continue on my search for Imovie replacement.
Make sure to indicate that editor will leave watermarks in the free version on the page info, right up at the top where most visible. I had to download, install and run it to find out. what a waste of time.
This program is simple and effective and in many ways simliar to Final Cut Pro, which is a plus. However, the MASSIVE WATER MARK IN THE CENTER OF THE VIDEOS IS SO LARGE IT HAS TO ORDER TWO BUS TICKETS. I spent hours not only filming my video, but then editing it, only for it to be in complete vain. As a broke video editor with absolutely no income, I find this frustrating and a complete waste of time. Unless you plan on purchasing the full product, stay far away from this program. Also, it occasionally crashes, so why would I want to spend money on something that doesnt work even work properly when it was free? There needs to be a FREE, WELL PUT TOGETHER video editor on the app store that DOES NOT include a WATERMARK. How else are people going to get started pursuing their short film dreams or ect. if they cant even afford the crappy programs? Mac needs the equivelent of Windows Movie Maker at least.
Never use it. They try to charge you when you done editing movie. You need to pay 25 dollars to complete the editing at the last step. I wasted 3 hours.
When you export your video, it’ll have a GIANT ugly red and black watermark stamped across it. The watermark takes up the whole screen and you have to pay $25 to remove it. It’s a good editing app, but unless you feel like paying for a ridiculously overpriced watermark, look elsewhere.

This seems like a pretty good basic video editor in most respects, but unfortunately you can only rotate by 90 degree increments.

I love it so much. It is was easy to use even for smeone like me, way behind technology. I will highly recommend it to professionals and beginners. This is the best decision I have ever made as I was struggling with other software tha a very complicated and do not deliver. With this app I can arrange my videos in jus a second. I love it so much and I will continue to use it as long as I make music.

Nice try with the watermark. You should warn us about that before we waste our time editing a video. I'm switching back to iMovie.

WOW I understand this is a free app at base level, but putting a giant red watermark on my exported video is so messed up. Its unusable. I'm not going to pay just to have the giant ugly watermark taken away. Don't waste your time and use something else. This is trash.

the watermark is dumb, like make it smaller. the only way to get rid of it is by buying the full version so i bought it. overall i just bought the progam since its easy to use
Useful, but frustrating
As good as this software is I've had issues trying to use the text and image funtions. For whatever reason when I move a image or text slightly too far off center, it will vanish. While it is SOMEWHAT decent as a starter, there's probably better editing software out there.
Not free... huge watermark.
If you're not even going to offer one free video download, there's no point in making the app free. I just wasted my time making a video only to find an OBNOXIOUS red watermark in the middle of my video. Who realistically would actually use this? Please do better.

I downloaded this app to make a vlog and after countless hours using their terrible and very laggy app, i finished the vlog, only to find out that i had to pay $20 if i actually wanted my video that i had spent hours on. they literally are holding my video for a ransom which they did not specify they would do. it only says “note: the app have watermark” i would expect this to be in the bottom corner of the screen and not a big deal. i was wrong. the watermark takes up the entire screen and makes the video completley unwatchable and if you want to watch it you have to pay $20 so save your time and momney and don’t download this absolute garbage.

It's free to download but and they say "The app have watermark." I was fine with a small logo in a corner, but what they slap onto your video is not a watermark at all, but rather a non-opaque "Video Editor Redux" written in bold red letters overlayed onto the center of your video, from end to end. To make it worse, it's also bordered and shadowed effectively taking over 30% of your video. This is just a slimey tactic to waste your time and force you with the choice of redoing all your work or just forking over the money for "premium."

You can't export anything until you pay the $20 cost of a Pro account. Then you get to deal with frequent crashes. Buy this only if you are despirate.
Its a hustle thats not worth it
They made this version so youll edit on it and then not let you export your video without paying $20 for the full version. They put this HUGE watermark across the center of your video. The full version is also trash....I dont know who they paid to give them good ratings but dont believe them.

I downloaded the free version of ths app to edit a video. After over two hours of editing, I was finally done. The program is very basic and glitches a lot. THE REASON THEY GET ONE STAR is that they should say in their description that if you get the free version, they will place a GIANT WATERMARK all accross your video, rendering it useless. Seriously, you are wasting people times. If you are that greedy, don't offer a free version. SMH I would never use or recommend this app again. Wasted my time for nothing!

Very dissapointing, iMoive wasnt working so I downloaded this after reading the first few lines of the description. Classic bait and switch, wasted lots of time editing a video only in the end to have a “watermark” across the entire screen. Don’t waste your $20 for this garabge app, developed by a garbage human. The “watermark” is giant red text across your entire video, far from a “watermark”. I genuinally hope whoever created this gets Covid19.

A Good Basic Video Editor
For years I have worked with cheap, limited, and very poorly managed video editing software suites (AVS4YOU). Thinking about upgrading out of this stale software, I just couldn't find anything cheap enough that still worked and was flexible. Upon testing this software with the Free Testing Software (lite) I was able to experience the workflow and must admit that the simplicity of this software really makes saying goodbye to the old suite pretty easy. The software is no professional software, so I won't be making any hollywood productions with it, but that's not it's purpose. It's purpose is to enable the creation of low-level videos/ home movies while still allowing for the bext quality control that a low-end computer can handle. For the critics that have commented about how the software is price, good luck finding a comparable video editor that is cheaper or free. There isn't one. Creative type like myself got lucky with freeware like Gimp, Blender, and Audacity (which I still use in combination with this software), but even these communities have to make monitization to keep the software available and up to date. 20 dollars is not bad when you consider that most video editing software costs easily in the hundreds (even AVS as a tired software suite costs over a hundred dollars for a permanent license).

Like lots of others here, i was doing a school project and had spent quite a few hours editing. while they were simple edits it doesnt help that when i finished the watermark is massive and red. Like I would understand a smaller opaque one but this was just obnoxious and they force you to buy it basically because who wants to redo the work. Wish they would have a description saying, we will place an unnecessary watermark on your finished work. The editing was fine but nothing crazy. Surely not $20 worth, Rediculous

Resolution shrunken even though I set it to what the source was set to. Sound had unwanted constant echo. You could not pay me to use!
Black Screen
So I bought the full version. No biggie, i liked editing on it for a bit, but for some reason now every time i try and add a new clip onto the one i just edited that whole first part just turns into a black screen. tried everything to get it back because it took a lot of time and nothing worked. good software overall but its extremely annoting when it GETS RID OF EVERYTHING YOU JUST EDITED.
I'm happy and upset at the same time
Alright! So the app was great for editing and audio effects! I really enjoyed it; until I saved the video. The watermark is huge and there is no way to get rid of it except for paying for it! The app also will not get off my computer screen!!! I have tried exing out and quitting the app and it is still there. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

ths app is amazing and no this is not a fake review i just started a youtube streaming i use this app for all of my editing super easy to use the only thing i wish was a little better from what i have seen you can only export 60fps if you could go a little higher that woud be amazing
Free Version is a Joke
I don't usually review things, but I felt I had to on this one. I downloaded the free version, put in about an hour of work to create/edit a video for a project - only to discover when I finally got it exported that there was a HUGE watermark going across the screen for the entire video. I understand putting a watermark since it is the free version and all, but this thing took up the entire screen. I wish I would have known this BEFORE I put in all the time. Now my edited video is useless.

IMovie wasn’t working on my computer so I decided to give this a try. Let me just say, WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. I spent well over an hour editing my video, and then BAM! A giant red watermark popped up across the screen for the duration of the video. What kind of moneysuckers decide to tell you that AFTER yo u waste your time? The creators of this app, that’s who. This is absolutely ridiculous and I most definetly will NOT waste 20 dollars to get rid of a watermark. I’m very dissapointed, and advise all readers to not get this app. It may be free, but it wastes time and most end up paying for the full version by the end anyway. It’s a scam, and I am very angry with this experience.

I spent the entire day editing a video and when I finally exported the video, there was a HUGE watermark that I just can’t get past. I would like it if there wasn’t the watermark because the controls are user friendly, but it was an entire waste of time.

I just recently upgraded to High Sierra. I used Mpeg Streamclip for many years, but it is a little buggy on High Sierra. I decided to try this program in the hope it would replace Mpeg Streamclip, but this Video Editor did not perform as I hoped. I was able to load and play videos but the video playback was not smooth for odd frame rates. I also found no way to edit the video. It would not allow me to split or cut out parts of the video I did not need. I do not know if this is due to it being a trial version or not. I do not buy programs unless I can fully test them ahead of time, and that means having it fully functional during the trial period. I ended up removing the program using AppCleaner. Unless there is a FULLY FUNCTIONAL version to test out I do not recommend this program.

I got the free version because i needed to edit a video, I put it together and bam a giant water mark. It said to get of it i needed the full version so i bought it because I didnt want to re edit. 20 dollars it a bit much if you ask me but I am happy with the way it turne out. And yes i realize macs are known for there free editing sofware that comes with them called iMovie… i figured that out after edited the video in the free edition of this and didnt want to spend a few more hours re-editing it. It works fine if you want to buy it for 20 dollars but Mac’s have a great free sofware already on it called iMovie you might want to check it out before downloading this.

Um, I already bought it, have used it a few times without watermark, and because I have a new computer it added a watermark to my viseo unless I buy it again? WHATS THE POINT?
